Happy Birthday Sam!

Happy Birthday Sam! We actually have 2 birthdays in our family today. It was always neat to me that he and Grandma had the same birthday and, as a young kid, little unusual facts like that help one to remember when birthdays are! Obviously it did, because I think of the two of them every May 9th! Sam is my step brother who lives in Mississippi. We have made a few trips out there to visit he and his wife, Michelle and they have really shown us a great time. Last year, Sam retired from the Air Force and became a civilian for the first time in many, many years. No doubt, the switch to non-military life is almost like a rebirth, hahaha! Anyways, we are very proud of his accomplishments and service to our country. Hopefully, there are enough folks left with the common sense and logic that Sam provided while he was in. Happy Birthday, Sam!
